FAQs

What is the difference between the standard model and the Seat post pump?
The seat post pump model carries a unique hidden air pump in the seat post, the standard model does not. The other parameters are the same.
What is the payload of the e-bike with such a simple frame?
Good question! With the unique aerospace-grade aluminum alloy frame, the maximum load of D3 Pro can reach 120 kg (265 lbs).
Is this really an e-bike? I can’t see where the battery is.
Exactly. The battery is not that obvious for it is concealed in the frame.
What is the capacity of the battery?
7.8Ah. Thanks to Fiido's patent, the battery capacity can reach 7.8Ah large in such a compact size.
The bike looks small, I wonder if it can handle abrupt slopes?
The answer is yes. D3 Pro has a 250W brushless geared motor and the starting torque is larger, which will definitely be helpful for uphill climbing.
Sometimes I need to take it outdoors, is it heavy?
Not at all. On the contrary, D3 Pro is light in weight and weighs only 17.5 kg (38.6 lbs) with battery, making it effortless to carry.
Does winter affect the range of it?
The activity of Li-ions decreases under low temperature, which may also influence the efficiency of the battery. However, the performance of the battery will return to its original state once the temperature rises.
Is it easy to replace the accessories by myself?
Generally speaking, you can handle the replacement of the e-bike accessories if you are able to fix simple problems with a bicycle. Fiido shows a strict attitude towards the selection of components to ensure high quality of our products. Also, our after-sales department provides specialized technical video tutorial.

Just got it. some details from my first real ride

I'm loving this bike. I'm a 5'10" female with broad shoulders. Regrettably, I currently weight 212. I can fit the bike to myself perfectly. I love the seat and seat post. (I did get a tire pump) It feels much more secure than the seat on Giant "halfway" folding bike. Today, I did a test to see if I could do a run to my CSA and back. 19.2km or 12miles. There is 190ft climb on the return. The bike died at 15 km (9.4 miles)on a fairly steep, sustained up hill. The thing I don't like is the visibility of the display. I was using all the levels but it was difficult to know which I was in on a sunny day. I had charged the bike to 5 bars before the ride. I'm going to try to charging for a full 4 hours. I will try the trip avoiding level 3 assist tomorrow. I'd love it if this bike had a 25% warning. It just cut off at I think had been 2 bars just moments before. If I had known I would have walked the hill and hopefully been able to make the rest of the ride with some assist. Also, I blew a circuit while charging. I might look into some kind of one way protection for the electrical.

Rain rides?

Thinking of buying but am concerned whether the bike will work in rain. What's the bike's classification for that, how much will it take? Can't find anything about it so guessing it can't take any rain at all?
Otherwise seems great!

Hello!
D3 Pro is waterproof. They are built to the IP54 water-resistant standard which means you can ride them in the rain. To protect your electric bike and consider your safety, we don't recommend you to ride an electric bike in heavy rain. The max speed of the D3 Pro is 15.5MPH(25km/h), equipped with a throttle.
Hope it helps.
Thanks
